Credentialing & Enrollment

The Credentialing and Provider Enrollment department has the following functions within the Shands system:

• Assures the Medical Staff at Shands at UF meets its responsibilities as delineated in the policies of the hospital, the Bylaws, Rules & Regulations of the Medical Staff, and other requirements as designated through state and federal legislation, and licensure and accreditation standards.
• Assures credentialing verification for all credentialed providers throughout the Shands system that meets accreditation and statutory requirements and managed care delegated credentialing agreements, as appropriate.
• Assures enrollment of all Faculty Group Practice providers with federal and state payors.
